Dr. Jun Cheng (USA)
Dr. Jun Cheng (USA) received his PhD from the University of Michigan in 2006. Engaged in the cellular and molecular mechanisms of stem cells, especially the regulatory mechanisms that maintain the balance of self-renewal and differentiation of stem cells. It is found that the aging of the body will lead to the difficulty of maintaining the function of stem cells and the decline of the ability of stem cells to produce differentiated cells, which is highly praised by the stem cell academia and published in the journal Nature. The new stem cell microscopy method developed by Dr. Cheng is published in the Journal of Methods in Stem Cell (Current Protocols in Stem Cell Biology). His discovery of the mechanism of carcinogenesis and the close relationship between stem cells underscores the importance of stem cells in the treatment of cancer.
